For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored 1944 Parker 51 Fountain Pen in the Cedar Blue Color. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, collector, breather tube, hood, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new one. Hand cleaned the 1/10 16K Gold Filled Cap & Blue Diamond Arrow Clip, Clutch Ring, and 14K Parker NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel and hood to bring back the vibrancy of fountain pen and to protect the celluloid. This Parker 51 is Full Size and measures 5 1/2" capped and 6 1/8" posted. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel.

This fountain barrel and hood are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The 1/10 16K Gold FIlled Cap is in very good condition with no denting, but display a few blemishes at the imprint/lip of the cap - not major concerns but point it out for clarity sake. The cap pattern display clusters of 4 parallel lines. The cap is clearly stamped with, "1/10 16KT GOLD FILLED MADE IN USA" just above the cap lip. The barrel is clearly stamped with, "PARKER "51" Made in U.S.Aa with date 4 (for 1944) in the 3rd Quarter".

I have tested the Vacumatic filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The filling system, typically in my tests with water, will fill full in roughly 6 to 9 presses.

The Parker NIB is dated 1944 and is made of 14K Gold. The actual 14K Parker NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .51mm when measured with digital calipers! When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a fine/medium stroke. In the writing sample provided in the images, the fine/medium line measures roughly at .61mm when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a vintage Parker 51 Fountain Pen that has been completely restored that is in great, writing condition. I would consider this Parker to be in Very Fine to Excellent Condition after the restoration that I performed. It is certainly ready to write with or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
